Where did the phrase Magic Knickers come from?
We believe the phrase Magic Knickers was originally coined by the style gurus Trinny and Susannah on their TV show What Not To Wear, where they recommended their clients to wear Magic Knickers to give them a slimmer, smoother shape under their clothes.
What are Magic Knickers?
Magic Knickers look like across between a pair of tights and a pair of cycling shorts. They are made of really strong, stretchy material and normally come in colours bare and black. Magic Knickers usually cover from your thighs to your waist, but recent developments have seen them extended to cover your waist and midriff, stopping at just under your bust, preventing any bulging over your waistline. Magic Knickers are designed to hold you in and smooth out your lumps and bumps. Results do vary, but most people report that Magic Knickers slim them down by around a dress size and that their clothes look and fit much better.
Who wears Magic Knickers?
Susannah Constantine recently revealed that she constantly wore Magic Knickers after the birth of her baby to “hold everything in”.
Gwyneth Paltrow told magazine USA Today that the secret of her looking so slim on the red carpet after the birth of her baby was wearing 2 pairs of Spanx Magic Knickers.
